5,000 Years in the Making

Carved by hand from ancient bog oak — timber preserved for five millennia beneath the peat bogs of the British Isles — this rectangular pendant is a wearable relic of deep time. Its near-black, richly grained surface is inlaid with crushed opal, which blazes with veins of deep crimson, magenta, and violet fire across the face of the wood.

No two pieces of bog oak are alike, and no two arrangements of crushed opal ever repeat. This pendant is a singular object: once it is gone, it is gone.
